This page explains what we collect when you use englishwithangelie.com or take lessons, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
English with Angelie is run by Angelie Lundahl. She decides how your information is used. Email support@englishwithangelie.com about anything on this page.
What we collect
- When you pay: your name, email, what you bought and the price. Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- For safety: your IP address, country and browser when you pay. This helps stop fraud and sort out payment disputes.
- When you book: your name, email and lesson times, through the booking page.
- When you write to us: your emails and anything you put in them.
- In lessons: notes about your level and goals, so lessons fit you.
Why we use it
- To give you your lessons and send your booking link.
- To answer your questions.
- To take payments, stop fraud and handle refunds and disputes.
- To keep the records the law asks for, like tax records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for ads.
Who helps us
A few companies run parts of the site for us. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Stripe takes card payments and checks for fraud.
- Google runs the booking calendar and our email inbox, and serves the fonts on this site.
- Resend sends our emails, like your booking link.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and passes on email sent to us.
- Vimeo plays Angelie's intro video, with tracking turned off.
These companies may store information in the United States and other countries.
Cookies
We don't use our own cookies or any tracking or analytics. Stripe sets cookies when the payment form loads, to keep payments safe. The video player may set cookies it needs to play the video.
How long we keep it
Payment and order records: up to 7 years, for tax and disputes. Emails and lesson notes: while you are a student, then up to 2 years. After that we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, fix it, delete it, or get a copy. You can also ask us to stop using it. Some records, like payments, we have to keep for the law. Email us and we will answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Adults only
Our lessons are for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this page
If we change this page, we post the new version here and change the date at the top.
